A Bit About Me

I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience. I value integrity, equity, compassion, openness and connection.  My clients, supervisees and training audiences describe interactions with me as warm, accepting, engaged, and helpful.  I feel privileged to support people of all ages to reduce distress, learn valuable skills and ultimately to flourish. I am trained (and have trained others) in a range of Cognitive , Behavioural, Mindfulness and Acceptance based therapeutic approaches, along with Positive Psychology Interventions. I am trained to deliver, and have a deep interest in the value and benefits of Animal Assisted Therapy.

My career has provided me with a rich variety of work opportunities. I have worked in child and family focussed mental health services and private practice settings, and in hospitals, supporting people with complex health conditions. I worked for 10 years at the University of Adelaide, teaching and supervising the developing practice and research skills of the next generation of clinical psychologists. Most recently, I worked in a large school, leading a team of mental health professionals, supporting crisis care, providing ongoing mental health care for children and young people and leading wellbeing and inclusive practice developments.  I currently offer direct clinical services part time at Flow Psychology in addition to my work at Embrace. Across all of these roles, I have delivered professional development workshops, supervision, conference presentations and public seminars. I am excited to  be supporting proactive self care through Embrace, and to be assisting health and education practitioners in their ongoing professional and personal development.

Outside of work, I love bushwalking, cheesemaking, camping, getting lost in a great book and especially, spending time with family and friends.
