Health & Safety

 

The safety of our team and clients is a priority. Please help us by following the guidelines below.

 

COVID-19

 

We request that you follow the guidelines and recommendations set by the Department of Health and self-exclude if you have COVID-19, have been to any of the countries with exclusion periods or have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

 

Illness

 

Please DO NOT attend your EMBRACE RETREAT OR SERVICE If you are experiencing ONE OR MORE of the following symptoms:

  • Fever

  • Runny Nose

  • Persistent coughing

  • Sneezing

  • Sore throat

  • Gastrointestinal illness (within the past 48 hours)

 

Contact EMBRACE as soon as possible to re-book your service to another date or cancel the booking (cancellation fees may apply).

 

If you attend in person and Embrace staff assess that you are unwell, your attendance at the booked service can be cancelled at any time. Full payment will apply under these circumstances.

 

Weather

 

Embrace RETREATS and some THERAPY DOG SERVICES involve indoor/outdoor spaces and the success of the experience may be compromised by unsafe or unfavourable weather conditions. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule Retreats or Therapy Dog Services under the following conditions, as :

  • On days of Extreme or Catastrophic Fire Danger.

  • On days where the forecast temperature for the day is 33 degrees Celsius or higher.

  • On days when significant rainfall or risk of flooding is forecast

  • On days when, in our assessment, dangerously or disruptively high winds are forecast.

In making these determinations, we will be guided by forecast information for the district as described by the Bureau of Meteorology by 10 am of the day before the scheduled activity. You will be notified as soon as possible if your booking is impacted.

 

In the event that WE cancel your booking due to WEATHER, you will be offered either a full refund, OR the opportunity to transfer your booking to a future available date of your choice. 

 

Cancellation by you, non-attendance

As a courtesy, you may receive email or SMS reminders prior to the Embrace service you have booked. However, we encourage you to be proactive in managing any upcoming bookings outside of receiving reminders from EMBRACE.

 

If you need to cancel or change your booking for a RETREAT, SUPERVISION SERVICE, or INDIVIDUAL SESSION, we require at least 24 hours notice. As our services are in high demand, this ensures that your place/booking can be offered to someone waiting for our services.  The fee is non-refundable if you do not attend your booked service as planned, without notice or when less than 24 hours of notice is given for the cancellation. If you have cancelled your booking with more than 24 hours notice, your account will be placed in credit. Credits can be used towards future bookings for any Embrace service within a 12 month period from the date of your original booking. 

 

If you need to cancel or change your booking for a FULL BLOCK OF CLASSES or A GROUP TRAINING EVENT, we require at least 7 calendar days notice. The fee is non-refundable if you do not attend your booked service as planned, without notice or when less than seven days of notice is given for the cancellation. If you have cancelled your booking with more than 7 days notice, your account will be placed in credit. Credits can be used towards future bookings for any Embrace service within a 12 month period from the date of your original booking.  CLASSES are paid for in BLOCKS. Regardless of reason or of notice given, if you miss a scheduled class, you forfeit the fee paid for that class within the block. Fees for TRAINING events cover the Presenter’s time on the day and preparation time and costs for your event. In planning your event, agreement will be reached about the maximum number of attendees for the event. The fee agreed upon will stand regardless of whether the full number of places available for the event have been filled. 

 

Subsequent bookings with EMBRACE may not be accepted if your account is in arrears.

 

Payment

 

Payment is to be made in full prior to the booked service through the payment link provided.

 

All costs, including administrative fees, expenses or disbursements incurred in recovering outstanding monies shall be paid by the client.

 

Fees are subject to change at any time. 

 

Retreats Waiver

​

I understand that I will be engaged in the following activities / environments at this retreat:

  • Yoga

  • Art/craft activities

  • Outdoor activities in a garden and or nearby walking track

  • Consumption of home-prepared foods.

 

I understand that while every effort will be made to ensure my safety, accidents and injuries can occur during such activities. I agree to be responsible for my actions and to release (to the extent permitted by Law), EMBRACE Psychological Care and Consulting, its Directors, Staff and Contractors from any claims and demands that may arise from my involvement in this retreat and hold them harmless from any liability that may arise from incidents or accidents involving myself.

 

Therapy Dogs Service Consent & Waiver

I/We consent to a Certified Therapy Dog to be present, according to service booked, in either my/our

  • individual therapy session

  • Workplace Paws visit. 

This may include interacting with and handling of the Therapy Dog. I/We acknowledge that I/we have read and understood the following statements regarding my/our participation in the session/s:

 

  • I/We acknowledge that we have no known illness or allergy that would prevent us from interacting with and handling the Therapy Dog.

 

  • I/We understand that the Therapy Dog undergoes routine vet checks and treatment with preventative medicine (including annual vaccinations, worming & flea treatments, and regular grooming) to maintain its health and appearance; however, there are some illnesses which can pass between humans and dogs to which there is a small risk I/we might be exposed. I/We will therefore practise personal hygiene, for example, washing hands prior to eating and cleaning hands with sanitiser after the session. 

 

  • I/We understand that the Therapy Dog has received special training and undergone formal behavioural and temperament assessment. I/My child acknowledge the risks associated with working with animals, including the risk of injury. I/We will follow the directions of the dog’s handler at all times. 

 

  • I/We hereby agree to be responsible for my/our actions and to release Embrace  Psychological Care and Consulting from any claims and demands that may occur due to a Therapy Dog being present within our booked activity. I agree to release Embrace Psychological Care and Consulting and will hold them harmless from any liability which may arise from incidents of accidents involving me/us whilst a Therapy Dog is present at the booked service, to the extent allowed by law.
